Market Cap / FDV
The proportion of current market capitalization compares to market capitalization when meeting max supply.
The closer the Mkt Cap/FDV to 1, the closer the current market capitalization to its fully diluted valuation and vice versa. Learn more about Mkt Cap/FDV here. |

Fully Diluted Valuation
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) = Current Price x Total Supply
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) is the theoretical market capitalization of a coin if the entirety of its supply is in circulation, based on its current market price. The FDV value is theoretical as increasing the circulating supply of a coin may impact its market price. Also depending on the tokenomics, emission schedule or lock-up period of a coin's supply, it may take a significant time before its entire supply is released into circulation. About Nexus (NEX)
Nexus is a high-performance exchange Layer 1 blockchain purpose-built to provide a foundation for verifiable finance and intelligent markets.
- The platform aims to create a decentralized Internet Exchange where every asset and stream of information is instantly tradable with low latency.
- It utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to enable high-performance verifiable computation for financial applications.
- The ecosystem is designed to support diverse markets, including spot and perpetual futures for crypto, equities, and commodities.
What Is Nexus
Nexus is a decentralized infrastructure project that functions as a global platform for trading and verifiable computation. Its primary value proposition lies in merging the performance of centralized exchanges with the trustless nature of decentralized protocols. Value moves through the system via its native orderbook venue, which facilitates the exchange of various asset classes.
The NEX token is put to work as the native utility asset of the network. It is primarily used to pay for gas fees associated with transaction execution and smart contract interactions. As the ecosystem grows and more assets are onboarded to the Nexus Exchange, the demand for verifiable computation and on-chain settlement is intended to scale alongside the network's processing capabilities.
What Makes Nexus Unique
- Specialized Financial Coprocessors: Nexus uses NexusCore, an execution engine built with dedicated coprocessors to handle risk evaluation and order matching at 5ms block intervals.
- Hybrid Execution Environment: The network natively integrates NexusEVM for standard Ethereum programmability with NexusCore for high-speed financial logic.
- Verifiable Computation: It features a dedicated Compute Network that generates validity proofs using the Nexus zkVM, allowing any party to verify execution correctness without trusting a central operator.
- Native Stablecoin Integration: The ecosystem includes USDX, a native stablecoin backed by U.S. Treasury collateral, designed to serve as a primary margin currency.
What Can You Use Nexus for?
- High-Performance Trading: Users can access a native orderbook for spot trading and perpetual futures across multiple asset classes.
- Smart Contract Deployment: Developers can deploy Ethereum-compatible decentralized applications using standard tools and bytecode via the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
- Verifiable Proof Generation: Participants can contribute to or utilize the Compute Network to generate and verify zero-knowledge proofs for complex computations.
- Cross-Chain Composition: Contracts on the EVM layer can compose with the core exchange engine to manage margin and place orders in a single transaction.
How Does Nexus Work?
Nexus operates using a Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus mechanism known as NexusBFT, which is built on the CometBFT framework to ensure that blocks are final once they are committed. The network's architecture is divided into specialized layers to optimize performance. The programmability layer, NexusEVM, allows the network to remain compatible with the Smart Contract Platform standards of the Ethereum ecosystem, supporting standard RPCs and developer toolchains.
Transactions on the network require the payment of gas fees in NEX tokens to compensate for the computational resources used by the nodes. The technical integrity of the system is maintained through the generation of validity proofs. These proofs are produced by the Nexus zkVM, which cryptographically demonstrates that the exchange's execution and state transitions have been performed according to the protocol rules.
Team Info and Investors
Nexus is developed by Nexus Labs. The project has secured backing from several prominent venture capital firms and industry participants. Documented investors include Lightspeed, Pantera Capital, Dragonfly, Faction, Blockchain Builders Fund, Alliance, and SVAngel. The project also maintains a technical partnership with M0 for the development of its native stablecoin infrastructure.
