Application Programming Interface (API)

It is a software that acts like an intermediary or a bridge that lets two applications talk to each other. It is the one that lets applications, data and devices interact. For example, the price you see at CoinGecko is the API that calls the data from our server and in return, it will response to you with the requested price.

It is a tree where every lead node is labelled with cryptographic hash of a data block, and every non-leaf node is labelled with the hash of the labels of its child nodes. It is used to verify of data stored within it and transferable in and between computers.
